Call for papers and posters
Participants interested in presenting lectures and/or posters should submit their abstract before May 15, 2009. EXTENDED DEADLINE JUNE 5, 2009
By June 15, 2009 the Scientific Committee will send a notification of acceptance for all selected contributions.
Each author can express his/her preference for presentation as an oral paper or as a poster. However the final decision will be made by the Scientific Committee in function of the best fit in the program. Also, the Scientific Committee may ask to revise the abstract or not to accept the abstract, if necessary.
All interested people are kindly invited to express their intention to participate as soon as possible
Abstracts
The abstract should contain a concise and comprehensive statement of the problem, the results of research and solutions. It must include a title, author, possible co-authors, institute and should not exceed one page in length

To submit your abstract follow the link to our online abstract submission and review system here. The online abstract submission and review system includes an ‘abstract submission guide’ in pdf format as well as 3 screencasts providing hands on assistance outlining the various aspects of submitting your contribution and responding to reviewer feedback etc.
All accepted abstracts of registered participants will be published in the abstract book which will be distributed to all registered participants at the symposium.
Instructions for Abstract preparation
Your abstract will be used for the evaluation of your presentation and to include it in the best suited section of the symposium. Your abstract will also be published in the book of abstracts, to be distributed at time of registration.
We would like to ask you to strictly follow the following guidelines :
- Use a Microsoft Word compatible word processor
- Do not exceed 1 A4 page of text
- Use “Times New Roman” for the entire text
- Title size 14 pt and Bold
- Other text in size 12 pt
- Mention all authors with institution, address and e-mail address; underline the presenting author. Use here line spacing 1 (single)
- For the text body use line spacing 1.5
- Use a 1cm left indent for the 1st line of each paragraph and use “justified” setting in order to fill out the lines at the right border

Full paper
Both oral and poster presentations are regarded as equal and will be published in Acta Horticulturae. Please follow the instructions provided by ISHS. Writing instructions are available at the ISHS homepage at http://www.ishs.org/wri/pap1.htm. Authors are requested to strictly follow these instructions.
Practical details on how and where to submit your presentation will automatically be communicated to those authors whose abstracts have been accepted.
